Hi Diana,

Call for a free-no-obligation consultation. Being out of control around food is a behavioral addiction which was learned. . If you learned these behaviors and don't like the outcome, you can learn new behaviors and will like the outcome. . It's a process and The Program will lead you step by step to a new way of thinking and acting around food.

Onward and downward,
Caryl

Hello Jhenna,

The problem is that you want your sister to lose weight but nothing will happen until she wants to become healthy herself. Accept her exactly the way she is (you clearly care about her) and focus on other parts of who she is such as her smile or kindness or sense of humor. You can prepare and offer healthier food but that would be the extent of your getting involved. There may be reasons that she has turned to food for what she perceives to be a comfort, but this is a progressive disease and eventually she'll need more and more food and will be eating more and more often . Discuss with your doctor or clergy if you have them and ask them for the best way to proceed.

Hello, I am writing you because my sister is a food addict. She is 17 years old, approximately 5'2 and weighs 250 lbs. I am desperately trying to help her become healthy, but she fights me tooth and nail. I am not an expert, nor do I pretend to be with her. She was severely depressed for a long time, and has recently stopped taking depression pills. I cannot afford any type of rehabilitation or psychiatric care, but am desperately willing for any free information that will help her. I am willing to not give up on her, and am willing to fight this battle all the way with her. I am just concerned, however, that her idea of food will not change, and she will continue to "be in love" with food. She is willing to work out, and apprehensively willing to "alter" her diet. .Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you
